Singer Christina Grimmie, a former contestant on The Voice, has died after being shot outside a concert in Flordia.
The 22-year-old from New Jersey, who finished third during the sixth season of the talent show in 2014, was shot in the head in Orlando.
She was shot at about 10.45pm on Friday after performing at The Plaza Live.
According to reports, the gunman shot her and then killed himself after being tackled by the singer’s brother.
She was taken to hospital but later died, Orlando Police said.
They said the suspect “walked up and shot” Grimmie after the performance while she was signing autographs.
Two guns were found on the man, but no motive has been established.
Orlando Police tweeted: “With deep regret, we have confirmed Christina Grimmie, @TheRealGrimmie has died from her injuries.”
